I was looking for a Japanese style futon without the cost of an expensive mattress. This turned out to be fantastic – nice and firm with just the right amount of cushioning. It’s supposed to be 3 inches thick but falls a bit short, though I don’t notice any difference. I find it super comfortable and better than my regular bed. My back doesn’t hurt in the mornings. I’m 5’9″ and 145-150 pounds, and it works great for me. It’s not very foldable, so I lean it against the wall when not in use….
