The mat arrived on time. It did have a damp grass smell initially, but after airing it out, there was no smell at all. The mat is thick, sturdy, and well-stitched with no fraying. Very pleased and would love to have more.

The product serves as a fantastic base for my futon. I enjoy the scent of rush grass. It’s easy to fold up and store when not in use and simple to set up when needed.

The product appeared nice and I was excited to try it. Compared to a tatami mat from another company, MustMat looked superior. However, upon arrival, it was moldy in multiple areas with a bad odor, preventing me from testing it. The packaging in multiple layers of plastic may have caused the mold, considering the fresh grass material. It was shipped from China to the U.S. The return process was smooth, receiving a prompt refund. Hoping for better luck, given the numerous higher ratings.

The reviews are concerning and inaccurate regarding these cozy, enjoyable, and moisture-wicking mats. I have mine elevated on a stand, and it’s ideal. The wood slats are undetectable, and it allows for good airflow. The scent is genuinely calming. I can easily take naps on it. It’s firm yet comfortable, as my napping experiences confirm.

I was initially hesitant to order due to complaints about a strong odor lingering, but I found no such issue upon arrival. The product has a slight scent of wild grasses, which my wife enjoys. We place it directly under our Japanese futon and appreciate the included storage bag. The product is in great condition and easy to fold, but I think the price could be more affordable.

I love the natural smell of this product. It’s great for putting my Japanese bed on top of. The included bag makes it convenient to carry around. I might also use it for yoga or stretching, but I primarily purchased it for my Japanese bed.

This is my first tatami mat, so I don’t have a basis for comparison. It feels sturdy and arrived clean. Initially had a strong odor, but it faded after a few weeks. I use it for sleeping with two shikibutons on top most nights. No mold issues so far with this routine.

The product smells very fresh and fits perfectly, is extremely comfortable, and has a smooth and silky texture. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing it again.
