This bowl produces a high bell-like sound without overtones, lacking noticeable beat frequencies. It seems machine-made and the hammering appears too perfect, lacking the vibrations needed for healing purposes. I am returning mine as I wanted a singing bowl for its sound, not just as a decorative item.

The sound is perfect for starting meditation or centering prayer. I use it for 20-minute sessions twice a day. It can be polished but it’s not necessary. I placed a silicone pot holder underneath instead of the cushion it came with, a small additional purchase. The color doesn’t matter. Silicone lasts indefinitely. You can make the bowl sing by moving the striker around the outside after striking it. I like the pleasing sound of this bowl and prefer it over glass bowls due to breakage…

I have a collection of these and enjoy buying them. One of the things I love about this is that it drives my wife crazy. She doesn’t understand why we need so many singing bowls. Personally, I think I need more lol. This one sounds great and looks good on the shelf. Very happy with my singing bowl.

The bowl is sturdy and of high quality. It produces a pleasing sound. The only downside is the slippery cushion causing the bowl to slide, but this was easily resolved by adding tape.

Finally, a bowl that is not tiny and not priced at $75 to $100! It is absolutely beautiful and amazing for the price! I was skeptical at first but this size for $20 is a steal! I will be buying more as gifts. The sound is beautiful, with G6# / 1558 Hz on the strike and C5#/ 555-558 Hz when rimming. Very relaxing – possibly for the sacral chakra? Looking forward to meditating with it and seeing people’s faces light up when they receive it as gifts. Thank you so much to the seller!
