10 reviews for ALTRA Men’s Lone Peak 7 Shoe

  1. Y. Goldberg

I love hiking, trail running, and rock scrambling, and having wide feet makes the wide toe box of the Altra Lone Peaks a great choice for me. I bought the Altra Lone Peak 6’s nine months ago, but they wore out quickly with tears in the upper part and worn-out grips. While they were comfortable and gripped well on certain surfaces, they lacked support and durability. The new Lone Peak 7’s offer improved comfort, more padding, and better grip, especially on scree slopes. However, I am…

  2. K. Sayler

This trail shoe is extremely versatile with a great look and true-to-size fit. The wide toe bed is fantastic, allowing your foot to conform naturally to changing terrain without pinching. It provides secure support for your foot and ankle, preventing blisters. With good support and excellent traction, this shoe is high-quality and offers great value as top-of-the-line trail running footwear.

I trained for weeks and completed a timed 34-mile ruck with a 60lb ruck pack in these shoes. They held up perfectly with zero issues. Awesome comfort, stability, grip, and fit. I have heard of people having problems with durability, but I did not experience any. The white color does get dirty, but that is expected for trail shoes. I have custom insoles but didn’t need to use them with these shoes because they are so comfortable. The wide toe box is amazing – I don’t think I can go back to…

  4. The Wanderer

This is the only shoe, or rather the only shoe brand, that I can wear due to the width of my feet. There is plenty of space for the toes, which prevents bunions from forming over time. The only criticism I have is that they are not very durable, both in terms of the sole and overall. The only regrettable thing is that there is no significant competitor in the wide feet segment.

  5. Mark Bazinet

The material is very cheap, my small toe went through it. Not wide enough, cheap material. The sole is brand new, shoe is now useless. Last time I buy Altra…

  6. Amazon Customer

I have tried many trail shoes in the past, but the Altra Lone Peak 7 is truly a game-changer. These shoes offer unparalleled comfort, exceptional grip, and a stylish design. The wide toe box and Altra EGO™ midsole make them a joy to run in, while the MaxTrac™ outsole provides excellent traction. The seamless upper is both breathable and water-resistant. Despite some minor drawbacks like the roomy toe box and higher price tag, the Lone Peak 7 is worth every penny. If you want a comfortable,…

I purchased these shoes last year for work in a hospital. They are very comfortable on my feet. However, I do not like the cheap material as it started to tear after less than 150 kilometers of indoor walking.

  8. Jerrell Agunias

Good quality, very comfortable. Fits true to size as expected.

  9. L.A.

I primarily use these shoes for hiking and find them to be extremely comfortable right out of the box. They offer great breathability, which helps keep my feet cool. I appreciate the light color options as I’m not a fan of bold colors. The shoes dry quickly in dry climates. I’ve used them for hiking in the Zion narrows and they performed well. I swapped the insole for a Dr. Scholls one for added support. The grip and durability of the outsole could be improved as the tread wears down…

The lace loops appear fragile, uncertain about their durability. These shoes feature a wide toe box, recommend checking the website and using the shoefinder tool beforehand.
