  1. Zhen

    That sums it up.

  2. Pierre April

During my time in Japan, I had the pleasure of sleeping on tatami and ever since then, I’ve been eager to recreate a traditional Japanese room. Thanks to this folding tatami, I am now able to do just that. It is lightweight yet sturdy, folding easily with elastic bands that come with the mat. The natural scent of the tatami fills my room, creating a soothing atmosphere. The mat itself is well-made with tightly woven grass and strong stitching. The mattress feels soft and smooth. I am highly…

  4. Amazon Customer

After being air dried outside for several days, the mattress will be perfect for use.

  5. K. W.

Bought this for under a futon / shikibuton. It works well, folds easily, and has a pleasant herbal scent like green tea.

  6. Kindle Customer 2

The combination of these two things is absolutely perfect. I have never slept better, my body has never felt less pain in years, and the quality is excellent. I will never go back to a regular mattress.

  7. Pierre April

Great for yoga, meditation, and tea ceremonies.

  8. Scuanga

Upon unboxing the mat, there was no chemical smell, just a pleasant hay and earthy scent. The quality is impressive in my opinion. Unfortunately had to return due to sizing issue, but Emoor provided exceptional assistance.

  9. anna

I adore this Tatami mat, which I place beneath my futon. Yet, I recommend airing it out beforehand if you wish to avoid a hay-like scent lingering in your room.

  10. Shogoun

I use this Tatami mat for my futon (same manufacturer) and I am super excited.
The smell is initially a bit unusual for the European nose.
The Igusa grass smells a bit like tobacco.
After the first day, I personally got used to it and now find it very pleasant. (The strong smell after unpacking dissipates relatively quickly)
The folding function is practical. Initially, I wanted a regular Tatami, but since I am currently setting up my space so that I can transport my inventory easily, I…

I opted for these futons due to back pain relief on my concrete flooring. Using a rug underneath wasn’t effective, so I decided to invest in these. The quality is excellent and provides great comfort. Despite complaints about the smell, I find it nostalgic and soothing. Will update after more use.

  12. Phil

This mat is fantastic. I fold it up every night with my futon, creating extra space in my apartment. It’s nicely padded and reminds me of my visits to Japan. Definitely worth it, and the quality is superb.

  13. Machine

This product reminds me of the sleeping mats I used at my grandma’s home. It’s a good value for the money, although it is thin at about 1/2 inch. It’s not as thick as a Judoka mat, but you can layer it for added comfort.
